I signed up originally with eHost because as they rightly claim, they are the "cheapest" webhosting service. Oh what a fool I am. Should have remembered you get what you pay for. My site has been down for three days!! What's more, you can never get a hold of them over the phone which leads you to believe that all their operations are based somewhere in Timbaktu! Only way you can get them is by chat (if you are lucky!) There servers seem very insecure as they have been victims of hackers as well as e-mail spam attacks. Don't be fooled by the $2.99 deal. All you are asking for is grief. Shell out the extra bucks for peace of mind!!

I ran into the same PHP/Leopard issues, and was glad to see the quick fix. I've been a huge TextMate fan for a while (back since I got a free copy in the Mac Heist.. they need to do another one of those!).

I've also abandoned Quicksilver, since I've found Spotlight to be quite snappy (much more so than in Tiger) and it works great as an app launcher. I also like how it has a dictionary plugin, so you can enter any word and it'll show you the definition. Cool.

I've heard that YakTrax (http://www.yaktrax.com) work amazingly well. They seem to be what you're describing.

I have for the past month been using OL. Like any other full-featured GUI system, it is complex and takes time to learn. That said, I'm really liking OL. With no specific issues cited, distaste for XML sounds a bit superficial (and yes, I've done substantial work in CL, Haskell, Scala, and other languages). If you really can't stand it, just use some s-exp-to-XML source translator. :) Semantics are what matters, and OL has terrifically useful abstractions.

(It's also lightyears ahead of JavaFX, which I also happened try.)

I made the Lilypond bundle for TextMate. It's decent, but nothing spectacular at the moment. If you have suggested changes, please don't hesitate to make them.

I came across this looking for a Lilypond TextMate bundle -- and it does exist in TextMate's SVN repository, though I don't know if that was your doing or not. ;)
