"In reference to your subconscious hitting of the tab-listing for close, I do the same. I’m looking around for an extension that will change it to ‘close’ again. Got any clues?"

Load "about:config" in the address bar, find "browser.tabs.closeButtons" (use the filter) and set it to 3. That brings back the old X in the red box. Other values change the close button positions around, maybe you'll find a setting that you like.

Hi Ben,

I agree about Firefox 2. Good post.

In reference to your subconscious hitting of the tab-listing for close, I do the same. I'm looking around for an extension that will change it to 'close' again. Got any clues?

I never have enough tabs open that it'll start to scroll anyway, and I don't even think that should show up until someone does. What's the point if they're all on the screen already?

Anyway, just grasping at straws. If you have found something, I'd appreciate any feedback.
