I signed up originally with eHost because as they rightly claim, they are the "cheapest" webhosting service. Oh what a fool I am. Should have remembered you get what you pay for. My site has been down for three days!! What's more, you can never get a hold of them over the phone which leads you to believe that all their operations are based somewhere in Timbaktu! Only way you can get them is by chat (if you are lucky!) There servers seem very insecure as they have been victims of hackers as well as e-mail spam attacks. Don't be fooled by the $2.99 deal. All you are asking for is grief. Shell out the extra bucks for peace of mind!!

Here's the e-mail I got on February 7:

Hi,

Thank you for contacting EHostPros. We will be
in touch with you shortly.
Please note, if you requested cancellation today,
you will not be charged for any hosting billing invoices
you may receive starting today. Please ignore any payment invocies you will
receive today onwards. If a refund is due towards your account,
we will issue it to your credit card on file or paypal account.

Kind Regards

EHostPros Support

"You will not be charged" and "if a refund is due...we will issue it" -- is this the same company?!? Because that's sure as heck not what they've done.

Finally, after sending ten or eleven e-mails, they said something about it being set up via Paypal. So I dug up my Paypal account information, logged in, and removed my debit card from the account. (I wish I'd been able to do that in March, not now. $47.70 down the drain. ~sigh~) The thing that makes me mad is that in the cancellation e-mail they said nothing about Paypal. Nothing! Nor does the cancellation page mention it either. Baaaaaaaad, eHostPros, or should I say eHostAmateurs. May they burn forever upon the lakes of fire and brimstone. May the owners contract leprosy and be childless forever. May their business shrivel up like a rotten prune, and may they find themselves in jail for the rest of their (hopefully short) lives.

Phew, glad I'm done with that. Back to being a nice person... :P

Be warned that if you try to cancel an account with ehostpros by using the correct cancellation form you will only get a refund _if_ they actually finish cancelling the account before 60 days have elapsed from the time of your last payment. Oh, and they won't cancel your account unless you login to the live chat and complain that your account hasn't been canceled yet.
